Twitter 2 : Twit Tips for Tweeple

Here's a crash course on how to maximize tweets on Twitter.

1.To share or post a website, you need to shorten the URL.

• Shrink it with TinyURL.

2. Add media on Twitter.

• Try the tool, Twitpic to post photos.
  

3.To see tweets sent to you, press "@Your user name" on the right margin.

4. For private chats, go to "Direct Messages" on the margin.

5. To create, find or follow conversation topics, use hash tags.

• Type "#your tag".

• You can subscribe to www.hashtags.org to keep current on tags.

6. Use the twitter search to find trending topics/people to follow.

• Try http://search.twitter.com
  

Or search for specific topics. I typed in "Twitter shorthand". Tweets directed me to

• A list of Acronyms and Text Message Shorthand. Use in moderation!
  

• Twittionary - Every Term and Twitter Tool I Can Find
